A day in the life of an interior designer

Mornings in the studio begin quietly. A fresh espresso, soft instrumental music, and the warm glow of natural light set the tone for the day ahead. I start by reviewing mood boards and client briefs — each project a unique story, each detail an opportunity to create something timeless.
By mid-morning, I’m meeting with artisans, suppliers, and architects. In luxury design, relationships matter as much as vision. Discussing custom marble slabs with a stone supplier or selecting handwoven silks from an atelier isn’t just about sourcing materials — it’s about curating experiences that will live in our clients’ homes for decades.

Afternoons are for site visits. Walking through spaces still wrapped in scaffolding, I visualize the finished rooms: how sunlight will fall across a polished oak floor, how a bespoke chandelier will become the soul of an entryway. Every measurement, every texture, every finish is checked — perfection is the only standard.
Back at the studio, the creative energy peaks. Swatches, sketches, and CAD renderings cover the table as we refine the final layers of a design. This is where luxury comes alive — in the harmony between grandeur and intimacy, elegance and comfort.
As the day winds down, I review progress notes, respond to client updates, and set the agenda for tomorrow. The work of a luxury interior designer doesn’t truly end when the studio lights dim. Ideas arrive at dinner, inspiration strikes on evening walks, and beauty is always being imagined.
Every day is a blend of art, precision, and passion — an ongoing pursuit of creating spaces where life is not only lived but deeply cherished.
